Dianna V.

Watch Story

My name is Dianna VanAmburg, and I lost my limb in 2000.

I learned that it's not as bad as I thought it would be.

When I first came home and had therapy, I thought I would never be able to walk again, but after a few sessions with good people and good help, I walked right away.

SometimesI don't even realize I have it, unless I'm in bed and have to get up and put my leg on.

Bremer has been so good to me. I think without the relationship with Tom, and Nate, mostly, I probably wouldn't have stuck it out like I have to do so well.

Like I said, when I first had it done, I thought I would never walk again, but you do learn real quick that if you want to go on, that you have to walk again.

With hard work and taking care of yourself, it can happen.
