A great physical therapist loves working with amputees, but unfortunately due to health insurance cuts, rehab needs aren not fully covered. It takes months of training to learn proper gait required feel fully confident going up and down uneven surfaces using a prosthesis—yet the average amputee is only getting about 3 weeks of physical therapy.To bridge this gap, we created Step Up in effort to bring amputees together and do small exercises that promote comfortable gait walking patterns.
